In the reality was different.Communist regime executed thousands of southerners.Sent hundred thousand more to reeducation camps(brain wash). Sent student to sweeping the streets. Sent young people to the farm field , to learn farming.
Later on the bitterness and despair , resentment against the disorganized government. Million people, including my parents, relatives, friends,our classmates, fled the country in risky boat. These boat people"endured horrific voyages, suffer robing by pirates, tortured, raped, and killed. The lucky one land on refugee camps , United States,or every corner of the world.
In the past the Vietnamese called it the "war of liberation', a war of national salvation.But now they called it "The American War". I call it THE SORROW OF VIETNAM WAR.
